Migraine packs for nurses available

A nurses’ pack on the condition of migraine has been produced by the Migraine Association of Ireland (MAI) and is now available to all nurses in Ireland free of charge.

The pack provides nurses with an introduction to migraine and to the MAI, as well as equipping them with the knowledge to deal with the majority of medical queries presented by migraine patients.

The pack is aimed at practice nurses, but could be used by all those who are likely to come in contact with migraine patients during the course of their work.

Each pack also contains a list of publications which details all leaflets available from the MAI. The MAI encourages nurses to use the list to order leaflets and information, which are free of charge, for their patients.

Nurses, and all other medical professionals, are advised to log onto the health professionals section of the MAI website, www.migraine.ie, which contains in-depth information on the diagnosis, management and treatment of migraine.

To order your pack email donnawalsh@migraine.ie or call the MAI offices on 01 8941280.
