Public brain awareness lectures

A series of public lectures on how the brain functions will be held in TCD to mark International Brain Awareness Week from March 12 to 16.

The purpose of the week is to promote awareness of how our brains work and to highlight ongoing Irish research into conditions that affect the brain.

Public lectures will take place on the subject on the evenings of March 13, 14 and 15, organized by the Neurological alliance of Ireland in Association with the TCD Institute of Neuroscience.

A number of high profile speakers are lined up including Prof Ian Robertson, author of a number of popular science books including "Mind Sculptor", "The Mind’s Eye" and "Stay Sharp."

The schedule also includes eminent Irish speakers from the fields of neurology, psychology, psychiatry and geriatrics.
