About the Migraine Monitor

Migraine Monitor is a new service from Irishhealth.com, developed in association with the Migraine Association of Ireland. This new service lets you keep on top of your migraines, by quickly and easily updating your personal online Migraine Monitor direct from your mobile phone - any time and anywhere that suits you. This easy to use service then creates a valuable personal Migraine Record which will help you to monitor your own progress and identify 'triggers' to be avoided.

To use the Monitor, first, you are asked to register. This should only take a minute or two. When registering, we'll ask for some basic information about you and your migraine, including your mobile number, which is essential in order to use the service.

Once you have registered, you will be taken to your personal Migraine Monitor page. Here you can directly enter information about your migraine (for example, you could if you wish transfer it from a paper-based migraine diary). That's it - you're ready to go!

The next time you experience a migraine, simply text the word Pain, followed by a value from 1-10, to 57500. For example, to record a migraine you would regard as an '8' (where 1 means mild and 10 means very severe), simply text Pain 8 to 57500. If you wish to add a comment, that's easy too. Here's an example: text: Pain 8 bad pain since early morning and all this information will be added to your online record.

Any time you wish to view this record, just log on to Migrainemonitor.ie, put in your username and password and you will be taken to your own personal Migraine Monitor. Here you can add, amend or delete records, or you can print out a copy of your records when planning to visit your GP or Pain clinic.
